So, this guy – Merlijn, very Dutch name, naturally – is on X (formerly Twitter, for those of us still catching up) telling everyone Ethereum is doing whatever “Wyckoff accumulation” is. Honestly, it sounds like a fancy way of saying it’s been dithering around for a while. Like me trying to decide between takeout and cereal. 🥣

Charts and Dreams: Ethereum’s Big Plan

Apparently, for days now, Ethereum’s been bouncing between $3,050 and $3,400. It’s like watching two toddlers fight over a single building block. Just endless, exhausting repetition. As of writing, it’s currently… somewhere around $3,100. Thrilling, isn’t it? I’ve had more exciting interactions with automated phone menus.

Merlijn calls this “consolidation,” which feels like PR-speak for “not doing much.” But, according to him, it’s also a very important part of this Wyckoff thing. 🧐 A “masterclass,” he even says! Which either means he’s very enthusiastic about charts or desperately needs a hobby.

The story goes that back in the first half of 2025, Ethereum briefly dipped below $1,500. A “spring,” he calls it. Sounds… uncomfortable. It popped back up, did a whole thing, then hit $4,946 before collapsing again. Like a bouncy ball with a slight existential crisis.

There’s a lot of talk about “Phase D” and downtrends, which I’m pretty sure are just things people say to sound intelligent at cocktail parties. The image looks like someone spilled spaghetti on a graph.🍝

But, and this is the kicker, Merlijn thinks Ethereum is about to “breakout.” Which, I assume, is VERY different from just… breaking. Apparently, it’ll enter “Phase E,” complete with a “vertical markup.” It’s like watching a toddler finally manage to stack those blocks. 🎉

To the Moon? (Probably Not, But Maybe?)

If all goes according to this Wyckoff plan, Ethereum is aiming for $10,000. Ten. Thousand. Dollars. A number my grocery bill seems to be approaching every week. He predicts an initial surge, a slight letdown around $5,000 (because life is cruel, apparently), and then… more consolidation at $3,750. Seriously, can’t we just skip ahead to the part where everyone is rich? 💸

If it holds above $3,750, supposedly that confirms “structural strength.” I’m pretty sure my couch has more structural strength, and it’s mostly held together by crumbs and regret. But hey, who am I to judge? Maybe I should invest everything in Ethereum. What could possibly go wrong? 🤔
