Oh, great. Another day, another phishing scam. This time, it’s targeting MetaMask users, because apparently, hackers have nothing better to do than steal your crypto. 🤯 SlowMist’s Chief Security Officer is like, “Hey, guys, there’s a new phishing scam…” but let’s be real, we’ve all seen this before. It’s like the 10th time someone tried to scam us with a fake 2FA flow. 🙄 The scam starts with a forged MetaMask alert. It’s like a fake email from your mom, but instead of “I need money for my new car,” it’s “Your account is compromised! Enter your seed phrase immediately!” 🚨 They even added a countdown timer to make it look urgent. Because nothing says “legitimate” like a 5-minute timer to enter your life savings. ⏳ Victims are then asked to enter their wallet recovery phrase. Which, by the way, MetaMask never asks for. So if someone is asking for it, they’re either a wizard or a scammer. Probably the latter. 🧙♂️ Always check the URL and avoid entering sensitive info. Unless you’re into gambling your life savings on a scammer’s website. 🤷♀️
