Fast forward to the end of 2025-Bitcoin ended up in the red! Yes, folks, you heard me right! The first post-halving year to go belly up-what a plot twist! 2026 started with some pep in its step, nearing $100,000 again by mid-January, but alas, it got cold feet and fell flat on its face once more.
In a dazzling display of acrobatics, Bitcoin dove a whopping $40,000, landing at a cozy $60,000 on February 6. That’s more than a 50% nosedive since its all-time high in October! If this were a circus, we’d all be demanding refunds!
But wait! What do the people think? In a recent poll by Ali Martinez, only 22.7% of respondents believe $60,000 is the final resting place for our dear BTC. The majority, 30.4%, think it’ll plunge to $38,000-another near-50% drop! Wow, keep those life jackets handy, folks!

And if you thought that was the end of the story, think again! Some reports suggest the bears are now in charge, and they’re not giving up their comfy seats anytime soon. Analysts are throwing darts to figure out where the bottom lies, with some guessing around $50,000. I don’t know about you, but I’m not taking bets on this rollercoaster!
Meanwhile, the Oracle of Omaha, Warren Buffett, keeps reminding us to be greedy when everyone else is trembling in their boots. And the analytics wizards at Santiment have noted Bitcoin often pulls a fast one on the crowd’s expectations. So, who knows? There might just be a surprise rally hiding behind all this fear, like a clown at a birthday party!
