Well, well, well… Looks like My First Bitcoin (MFB) is having a little rebranding moment, and it’s no small potatoes. This humble little organization, which started in El Salvador, has decided it’s time to go global. Not just a couple of countries, mind you, but the WHOLE WORLD! 🌎✨

From El Salvador To The World

Yep, you heard that right! My First Bitcoin, which used to focus on teaching folks in El Salvador how to wrap their heads around BTC (Bitcoin for those still wondering), is now setting its sights on becoming the go-to crypto educator for anyone, anywhere. Talk about ambition, huh?

Founded in 2021, MFB (also known as Mi Primer Bitcoin in its home country) was all about teaching independent Bitcoin education. In 2022, it launched its BTC Diploma program, covering everything from the history of BTC to explaining why “fiat” isn’t a car brand. Over 27,000 students have learned the ropes from them so far-most of them from El Salvador, of course, but hey, the 2023 workbook’s been translated into 23 languages. They’re going international, baby! 🇺🇳

And now, the organization has decided it’s time to give itself a makeover. Mi Primer Bitcoin? Nah. It’s time for the English version: My First Bitcoin. That’s right, no more hiding behind local names. MFB is ready to step into the big leagues.

In an even bolder move, MFB is saying goodbye to its office in El Salvador. It’s all remote now, baby! Can you feel the global vibes? 🌐

Founder John Dennehy, in case you didn’t know, seems pretty pleased with the whole “change the world” gig. He mentioned how the organization started with just one student, and now they’re eyeing 8 billion people. Yes, 8 BILLION. Forget world domination; this is world education! 💪

But wait, don’t worry, MFB isn’t ditching its roots. They’re still staying true to their mission, but now they’re focusing on helping others become Bitcoin educators. They’ve decided they won’t be the ones doing all the teaching anymore. Instead, they’re rolling up their sleeves to help other teachers, communities, and projects do it themselves. Because who needs a bossy boss, right? 🙃

They’re taking a step back from their weekly meetups in El Salvador. Local projects are now running the show there. So, if you were planning on attending one of those, you’ll have to hit up the locals instead. 😅

And as for that Public School Program in El Salvador? It’s officially over, but MFB’s legacy will live on in the curriculum that’s now being introduced into the national education system for 2024. Can we get a round of applause for the revolution of education?! 👏
