He doth prophesy, with the zeal of a market-day preacher, a future brimming with no fewer than one hundred thousand issuers! Imagine, if you will, the paperwork! The accounting! The sheer, unmitigated bother! One shudders to think. Truly, a task fit only for the most dedicated, or the most utterly foolish. 🤔

And what, pray tell, will become of our venerable banks in this brave new world? Why, they shall be forced, this Gupta proclaims, to entirely remake their practices, and conjure forth these… ‘deposit tokens’! A most peculiar term, suggesting a magical artifact rather than a simple record of funds. One suspects a touch of alchemical ambition within this scheme. 🧙

Furthermore, he speaks of payment systems so smooth, so effortless, that one shall flit between these ‘stablecoins’ as easily as a butterfly amongst flowers! Neutral settlement layers, he calls them – a phrase designed, no doubt, to impress the uninitiated.
